IU Working Towards New Fall Album

IU is currently preparing a new album that she hopes to release this fall.

According to people within the music industry, IU is in the final stages of album productions. The singer's new album is said to be composed, written and produced by IU herself, making the album her first fully self-produced album.

"Right now, all of the work for the album is being done under IU's leadership without a producer. As such, it will be an album that shows IU's colors as a singer-songwriter very well," a representative for IU has stated.

The upcoming album will be IU's first original album in over 2 years. Her last original album, "Modern Times", was released on October 8, 2013.

IU Reportedly Planning Comeback After Completing Filming Of New Drama "Producer"

Sources close to IU have revealed that the singer is planning to make a comeback after she completes filming for her new drama "Producer".
According to a report from media outlet OSEN, IU has already begun work on her next album. She will be continuing work on the album while filming her new drama.
Yesterday, IU was confirmed to be cast in the new KBS 2TV drama. The singer will play a popular celebrity in the series. "Producer" will debut in April and airs on Friday and Saturday.
IU's last album "Flower Bookmark" was released on May 16, 2014. The album was met with critical acclaim for its fresh take on classic Korean songs.
